BIMeta 1.0: Metaverse-powered BIM
The BIMETA 1.0 project is an ongoing R&D initiative that integrates Building Information Modeling with the metaverse for the construction sector. It leverages immersive technologies to create a shared virtual space for stakeholder collaboration, 3D modeling, asset monitoring, and training. It creates a "Digital twin" with IoT, sensors and algorithms for a dynamic model that can be updated without user input.
MLEC-1 (Machine Learning for Electronic Components)
Ongoing R&D activity for an Electronic Engineering company. ML model for image classification of electronic components. Allows technicians to recognize components in a circuit via smartphone/tablet. Compatible with Android 8+ smartglasses.
FSRAD (Field Support and Remote Assistance Demo)
Ongoing R&D activity for an AEC company. Remote assistance system with real-time overlay annotations between expert center and field technician (tablet or smartglasses). Part of a larger project with integrated BIM and AR/VR.
Digital Microscope & Smartglasses per l'industria elettronica
Developed for IMW. Synergy between digital microscope and Epson Moverio BT-350 smartglasses to allow the technician to see directly where they operate without looking at the monitor. Significant reduction of cognitive load and errors.
